The river that merges with Gaumukh glacier to from Bhagirathi
The water source is Akash Ganga, which is supposedly the actual origin of Ganga river as it originates from Mt. Shivling and merges down with Gangotri glacier to form Bhagirathi. Reaching at Tapovan campsite under a dense cloud cover left us with very less hope of watching the sunset, but a sudden clearing of weather resulted in this wonderful display of light.
